Elon Musk Drops Lawsuit Against OpenAI

Elon Musk has dropped his lawsuit against OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman. Musk accused OpenAI of breaching a contract and deviating from its mission to benefit humanity with AI technology. The case, dismissed without prejudice, means Musk can refile it.

The details:

• Filed in February: The lawsuit was filed in a California state court.

• Scheduled hearing: The case was dropped a day before a hearing on OpenAI’s request to dismiss it.

• Apple threat: Musk threatened to ban Apple devices from his companies if OpenAI tech was integrated.

• No existing contract: Musk’s claims referenced a “Founding Agreement” that does not exist.
