Selling digital products sounds exciting—until you actually try to do it. I remember feeling overwhelmed by links, payment tools, and pages that didn’t quite work together.
If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
The good news is that tools like Beacons make the whole process much simpler, even if you’re not tech-savvy.
In this post, I’ll walk you through how to use Beacons to sell your digital products in a clear, practical way—no jargon, no complicated steps.
But, before I proceed further…

🚨 OKAY, BACK TO TOPIC 🚨
Why Beacons Matters for Digital Creators
Most people who sell digital products don’t fail because their product is bad. They struggle because the setup is confusing.
Too many links.
Too many platforms.
Too many steps for the buyer.
Beacons solves that by giving you one clean page where everything lives—your products, your story, and your links.
Instead of sending people all over the internet, you guide them to one place that’s easy to understand and easy to buy from.
And honestly, when buying feels simple, people are far more likely to do it.
Here is an example of my Beacons page. ⤵️
What Is Beacons
Think of Beacons as a smart landing page made for creators. It’s the link you put in your bio, but instead of just showing links, it helps you sell directly.
You can:
List your digital products
Accept payments
Share a bit about yourself
Track what people click
It works well for ebooks, templates, guides, courses, workbooks, and other downloadable products.
You don’t need to build a website or hire a developer.
If you can type and upload a file, you can use Beacons.
Setting Up Your Beacons Page
Getting started is simple. Once you create an account, you’ll be asked to set up your page.
Start with the basics:
Profile photo: Use a clear, friendly image of yourself or your brand.
Bio: Write a short description in plain language. Tell visitors who you help and what you offer.
For example:
“I help busy freelancers organize their work and save time with simple digital tools.”
That’s it. No buzzwords. No fancy phrases. Just clarity.
You can even create your own professional website. ⤵️
Adding Your Digital Products
This is where Beacons really shines.
You can upload your digital products directly and create a product card for each one.

When adding a product, focus on three things:
1. Clear product name
Make sure people instantly understand what it is.
Bad: “Ultimate Growth System”
Better: “Threads to Experts - A Mastery Guide (PDF)”
2. Simple description
Explain what the product helps them do. Avoid long paragraphs. Think benefits, not features.
For example:
“This guide will show you exactly how to grow your audience, boost engagement, and start earning from your content.”

3. Fair pricing
If you’re just starting out, it’s okay to keep prices simple and affordable. You can always adjust later as you grow and learn what your audience wants.
I sell my ‘Threads to Experts’ guide for just $17.
Using One Link to Sell Everywhere
Once your page is ready, Beacons gives you one link. This is the link you’ll share everywhere.
Example:
Good places to use it:
Instagram / X / Threads bio
TikTok bio
YouTube description
Email signature
WhatsApp or Telegram profile
Instead of saying “Link in bio” with no explanation, tell people why they should click.
For example:
“I made a simple threads growth guide—grab it from the link in my bio.”
That small change can make a big difference.

Building Trust With Your Audience
People don’t buy from pages they don’t trust. Even if your product is great, trust matters.
Here’s how to build it on Beacons:
Add a short personal note about why you created the product
Include testimonials if you have them, even short ones
Use friendly language, not sales talk
You don’t need to sound perfect. You need to sound real.
A simple line like, “I created this because I struggled with this myself,” can go a long way.

Promoting Your Beacons Page the Smart Way
You don’t need to post “Buy now” every day. In fact, that usually pushes people away.
Instead, talk about:
Problems your audience faces
Small tips related to your product
Stories from your own experience
Then casually mention your product as a solution.
Another example:
“I used to spend hours planning content each week. That’s why I made a planner that cuts it down to minutes. It’s in my bio if you want it.”
This feels natural, not pushy.
Tracking What’s Working
Beacons shows basic stats like:
How many people visit your page

Which products get clicked

Where your traffic comes from

You don’t need to overthink this. Just check in once in a while and notice patterns. If one product gets more clicks, you’ll know what your audience cares about most.
Then you can create more content—or more products—around that.
Note: How can I earn passive income and help my friends make money too? ⤵️
Mistakes to Avoid
Here are a few common mistakes I’ve seen (and made myself):
Too many links: Keep your page focused. Highlight your main product first.
Confusing descriptions: If someone has to reread it, it’s too complicated.
Ignoring mobile view: Most people will visit from their phone, so always check how your page looks on mobile.
Simple always wins.
Final Thoughts: Keep It Simple and Consistent
Selling digital products doesn’t have to be stressful. Tools like Beacons are designed to remove friction—for you and for your buyers.
Focus on:
One clear page
One clear message
Helping people solve a real problem
You’ll learn as you go, and that’s perfectly okay. Every click, every sale, and every update makes you better.
Keep showing up, keep it simple, and trust the process.
If this helped you, I’d really appreciate it if you could recommend Sell Ideas to someone who’s trying to get paid for their ideas.
You don’t need to grow louder. You just need to grow clearer.
